HEIGHTS is now accepting applications to the 8th Ateneo Heights Artists Workshop (AHAW), which will be held from October 28 to 29, 2017. This is an annual program that offers ten artists a chance to develop their creative potential through discussions with practicing artists, curators, and professors. AHAW aims to guide and nurture these young talents, allowing them and their art to grow.
The workshop is open to current students of the Loyola Schools. Interested applicants must fill out an application form at bit.ly/AHAW8Form and send a .ZIP file with the name “Surname_AHAW” containing the following:
● Four to seven best recent works with the title of the work as the file name;
● A .PDF file containing the title, dimensions of each piece, media used, and year completed (if applicable);
● and a .PDF file that answers any of the following questions in 250-500 words:
o What are themes that are prevalent in your art?
o Who are your influences?
o Why do you work with your chosen medium?
o What direction do you see your art going to next?
All applications undergo blind deliberations; the profiles of the artists play no part in their consideration.
Send all entries to firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject title “AHAW8_Application.” The deadline for applications is on September 15, 2017.
The fellows will also have a culminating exhibit within the school year.
