Who can contribute to Heights?
Anyone can submit to Heights as long as they are a member of the Ateneo community: students (both graduate and undergraduate), alumni, teachers, and fellows of the Ateneo National Writer’s Workshop. You do not need any special prerequisites to submit – if you enjoy writing or making art, and have something you want to share, then do send in your works! YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF HEIGHTS TO CONTRIBUTE. We want to publish work from everyone, Heightsers and non-Heightsers alike.
What can I contribute to Heights?
You can submit any form of literature, in either English or Filipino. We accept poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction (like personal essays, memoirs, travelogues), even scripts. You can also submit any kind of artwork – it may be photography, traditional art, digital art, or mixed media. If you have a piece of art or a literary work you want to share with the Ateneo community, send it in!
How can I contribute?
For literary works in English, send to: heights.english@gmail.com
For literary works in Filipino, send to: heights.filipino@gmail.com
For artworks, send to: art.heights@gmail.com
As a standard, artworks should be scanned at 300 dpi and saved in .jpg format. If it’s photomanipulation, stock photos and copyright permission from the original owners of the images should be included, unless it comes from a stock website.
You can also drop off a hard copy in our pubroom, located at MVP 204 (please place it in a brown envelope so it doesn’t get lost), or give it to any Heights member and just ask him/her to submit it to the editors.
Is there any contribution form?
Just copy-paste this into the body of your email, with the necessary information filled in:

What is a write-up?
The write-up is basically a few sentences following your name, that will be included in the contributors’ page of the folio, should your work be accepted. It can be a few lines about yourself, a thank-you note, or a quote that you love – anything really.
What is post-deliberations?
Post-deliberations is a meeting you can choose to have with the editors/members of the staff where your work was considered, following their deliberations on your contribution. It will be a chance for them to give you comments and suggestions on your work. It’s also a great opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have. We highly encourage post-deliberations, as we really enjoy meeting with our contributors.
