Art
The art staff is part of the three deliberating staffs under the supervision of the Associate Editor and is therefore responsible in upholding literature in the university using visual arts as the primary medium. The staff is an operational, deliberating part of Heights and therefore shall be regarded as an arm of a publication, with its functions seen far and distinguished from that of an art club.
Editors’ Duties
The Art Editor is responsible for the over-all management and performance of the staff. Part of the responsibility is the prudent choices of artworks from either solicitation or through contribution. The decisions made by the Art Editor must uphold and promote the arts and its development in the university. The Associate Art Editor is responsible for the technical aspect of art production. These include the organization of activities for art formation, monthly meetings, and other projects that may or may not involve other non-members of the staff.
Members’ Duties
The staff is responsible for the screening and selection of artworks for the Art Gallery of the folio. Staff members are not required but are highly encouraged to contribute artworks for publication. These may include dividers, poetry illustrations and cover-material artworks when necessary.
The art staff is also tasked to work with the Secretary Generals and the Design staff in producing propaganda materials during recruitment week and materials for the promo board.
Deliberation Sessions and Meetings
Deliberations will be held, as needed depending on the availability of art contributions. Meetings will be held at least once a month to keep the members informed and connected with each other and with the organization.
